Wade Blevin's 'Sam's One Bug' Fly

Check out Wade Blevin’s  ‘Sam’s One Bug’ warmwater fly. Wade is one of Alabama’s fly fishing gurus. He has been tying and successfully fishing this fly, created by his late father Craig 'Sam' Blevins, for 40 years. With this fly, Wade is carrying on his father's tradition and promoting the sport of fly fishing.

Project Healing Waters is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing. The closest program to the River Region is located in Auburn, AL, and meets the first Thursday of every month.
